Hello! My name is Jordan and I am a current junior at Drake University. I am studying magazine journalism with a marketing minor. Throughout my three years at Drake I have been fortunate enough to have many amazing opportunities to further myself both professionally and personally. I have been able to combine many of my passions while at school, allowing me to pursue a variety of my interests. I have been involved with various campus publications, such as the Times- Delphic and Drake Magazine, serving in various roles.

In past semesters, I have served as a writer for the Times-Delphic and Drake Magazine, worked as a weekly staff writer for Drake Mag Online and have helped on set as the makeup artist for Drake Magazine fashion shoots the past two years. I have also worked in editor roles as the assistant editor for the Times-Delphic Relays Edition and in my current role as the associate editor for Drake Magazine. In my current position, I oversee multiple sections, coach and communicate with writers and collaborate with the rest of the editorial team to complete all necessary tasks.

Outside my life as a student, I am an avid animal lover, sorority girl and self-proclaimed makeup junkie. I have been a life-long vegetarian and love experimenting with vegetarian and more recently, vegan recipes. Throughout high school, I spent much of my time volunteering with service dogs, helping to train and care for them while also fostering dogs with family. I hope to maintain both of these passions even after graduation.

Here at Drake I had the opportunity to join my sorority Alpha Phi, which has been an amazing addition to my college experience. I was even able to serve in a leadership role in my chapter, acting as Spirit Chairman, coordinating and planning various events and activities. I have also acted on various committees including Red Dress Committee and Pretty Committee working to plan our annual Red Dress Gala and set up for recruitment.

As a beauty lover I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to write about beauty for various campus publications at my school, as well as work as a makeup artist for multiple fashion shoots for Drake Magazine. I hope to continue being able to combine my love of beauty with my experiences in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications after graduation.
